A2 (Elementary) level conversations: (30) Daily Challenges and Achievements
John: Hi Lisa! How’s everything going in school?
Lisa: Hey John! It’s been challenging, but I’m managing. How about you?
John: Same here. School can be tough, but it also comes with its achievements. Any recent challenges you’ve faced?
Lisa: Well, I had a difficult math test last week. I was worried about it, but I studied hard and ended up getting a decent grade.
John: That’s great! Math can be tricky, but overcoming challenges like that is a big achievement. I recently tackled a science project. It was time-consuming, but the feeling of completing it was rewarding.
Lisa: I agree. It’s rewarding to witness the fruits of your labor. Aside from challenges, do you have any favorite subjects?
John: I enjoy science and history. They both allow me to explore and learn new things. How about you?
Lisa: I like English and art. They let me express my creativity. By the way, have you joined any school clubs or activities?
John: Yes, I’m part of the chess club. It’s fun and a good way to relax. Do you participate in any extracurricular activities?
Lisa: I’m in the school choir. We have rehearsals after school, and it’s a great way to unwind. Balancing school and these activities can be challenging, though.
John: Absolutely. It’s all about finding that balance. Speaking of achievements, have you received any recognition or awards in school?
Lisa: Last month, I got a certificate for my performance in a poetry contest. It was unexpected but motivating.
John: That’s impressive! Your talent in poetry deserves recognition. I recently received a sportsmanship award for my attitude during a soccer match.
Lisa: Congratulations, John! Sportsmanship is an important quality. Besides school, do you have any personal goals or achievements you’re working towards?
John: I’ve been trying to improve my time management skills. I’m still figuring things out, but I’m making progress. How about you?
Lisa: I’m working on a personal art project outside of school. It’s challenging, but I’m excited to see the final result.
John: That sounds interesting! It’s inspiring to have personal projects. Well, Lisa, it’s always good to chat about our achievements and challenges.
Lisa: Definitely, John! It motivates us to keep pushing forward. If you ever need help with math or want to share your next project, I’m here.
John: Thanks, Lisa! Likewise, if you need a chess partner or want feedback on your art project, just let me know.
